Department of Environmental Science at Stamford University Bangladesh has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for DMERT and DM WATCH LIMITED

We are thrilled to announce that the Department of Environmental Science at Stamford University Bangladesh has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Disaster Management, Environment, and Research Training (DMERT) and DM WATCH LIMITED. This momentous occasion, held at Stamford University Bangladesh’s conference room on July 15, 2024, marks a significant step towards fostering collaboration in environmental and disaster management.


This MoU aims to enhance collaboration in promoting disaster risk management, addressing climate risks, and increasing resilience through comprehensive education, research, and training initiatives. Key objectives include establishing a robust framework for joint projects and facilitating knowledge exchange to effectively tackle pressing environmental challenges.


The event was honored by the presence of esteemed guests, including the Vice-Chancellor of Stamford University, Prof. Dr. Moniruzzaman, the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Md. Younus Mia, Treasurer Prof. Dr. Mohammad Jeaul Hasan, Registrar Mr. Muhammad Abdul Matin, and Dean of the Faculty of Science, Professor Dr. Ahmad Kamruzzaman Majumder. Dr. Mahmuda Parvin, Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of Environmental Science, moderated the event.


Dr. Mahmudul Islam, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of DMERT, and Md. Bayazid Hasan, Managing Director of DM WATCH LIMITED, represented their respective organizations. The event witnessed the participation of various stakeholders from all involved parties, marking a significant step towards collaborative progress.


The MoU signatories included Dr. Mahmuda Parvin and Muhammad Abdul Matin from Stamford University Bangladesh, and Dr. Mahmudul Islam and Md. Bayazid Hasan from DMERT and DM WATCH LIMITED, respectively.
