Project Description:

The objective of this assignment was to translate the Master Plans of 192 Paurashava from English to Bengali. DM WATCH performed this project by dividing the project-work into three stages such as pre-translation, translation, and final draft stage. The first stage included team mobilization and orientation, master plan report collection from the project management office of LGED, literature review, and formulation of the central coordination committee. In the second stage, a workshop was conducted to discuss vocabulary preparation and understand the basic issues about the master plans (e.g. land-use plan, traffic circulation plan, sewerage plan) that were developed under the supervision of LGED.  Conclusively, the reports were then translated and standardized by editing and review and finally submitted.
