DM WATCH LIMITED is Conducting a Multi-Sectoral Need Assessment on Climate Change and Disaster Impact in Southern Areas of Bangladesh

DM WATCH LIMITED is conducting a multi-sectoral need assessment on climate change and disaster impact in southern areas of Bangladesh, commissioned by International Rescue Committee (IRC).

The study’s overall objective is to conduct a multi-sectoral needs assessment on climate change and disaster impact in the Khulna and Barisal regions using a GEDI (Gender Equality Diversity and Inclusion) lens and intersectional analysis to inform the development of an integrated GEDI-responsive program.

The main purpose of the assessment is to determine the effects of climate change and natural disasters on the lives of the targeted population using a GEDI lens considering multi sector (health, child protection, women’s protection and empowerment/GBV, education, and economic recovery and development/livelihood) perspective. It will develop priorities, preparedness and resilience, and overall protection environment measures for the IRC program in accordance with the needs of the population, based on an intersectional analysis and a gender perspective.
