Data Collector (Enumerator) – PPEPP-EU Final Impact Evaluation

About the Assignment

DM WATCH LIMITED is conducting the Final Impact Evaluation of the “Pathways to Prosperity for Extremely Poor People–European Union (PPEPP-EU) Project”, implemented by Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) with support from the European Union (EU). The evaluation will revisit beneficiary and comparison households across 12 districts and collect information on socio-economic conditions, livelihoods, poverty, nutrition and health, climate resilience, women’s empowerment, disability inclusion and other project outcomes.

Field data collection will be carried out through two separate teams: (1) household survey data collectors, who will conduct structured digital interviews, and (2) anthropometric measurement data collectors, who will take standardized body measurements of eligible household members for the nutrition assessment.

Position 1: Data Collector – Anthropometric Measurement

Main Responsibilities

• Take standardized anthropometric measurements of eligible household members, including body weight, height/length and Mid-Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC), as applicable.
• Use anthropometric equipment correctly and follow prescribed positioning, calibration, duplicate-measurement and verification procedures.
• Record measurements accurately in the assigned data-collection system and immediately flag unusual or inconsistent measurements to the supervisor.
• Treat children, caregivers and other respondents respectfully and follow informed-consent, privacy and safeguarding procedures.
• Attend the mandatory hands-on training, standardization exercise, field test/pre-test and refresher sessions before and during fieldwork.
• Travel and work in rural, remote and hard-to-reach project locations as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Practical, hands-on experience in anthropometric measurement in a research, nutrition, health or household survey is required.
• Experience taking weight, standing height and/or recumbent length, and MUAC measurements using standard equipment.
• Ability and willingness to attend in-person practical training and standardization before deployment.
• Willingness to travel and stay in field locations for the required assignment period.
• Ability to follow instructions carefully, work as part of a field team and maintain measurement accuracy under supervision.

Preferred

• Previous experience measuring children under five, adolescents, pregnant/lactating women or other nutrition-survey participants.
• Previous experience in baseline, midline, endline, nutrition, health or impact-evaluation surveys.
• Previous hands-on training or standardization in anthropometry.
• Educational background in Nutrition, Public Health, Health Sciences or a related field.
• Evidence of previous anthropometric work, such as an experience letter, certificate or verifiable assignment reference.

Position 2: Data Collector – Household Survey

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face structured household interviews with beneficiary and comparison households using a digital questionnaire.
• Explain the study, obtain informed consent, follow respondent-selection and skip instructions, and record responses accurately and completely.
• Use SurveyCTO, KoboToolbox, ODK or other assigned digital data-collection platformd and synchronize completed interviews as instructed.
• Review completed interviews before submission and respond promptly to supervisor or quality-control queries.
• Maintain confidentiality, neutrality and respectful communication with extremely poor and vulnerable households.
• Travel and work in rural, remote and hard-to-reach project locations as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Practical experience in quantitative field survey or household data collection.
• Basic ability to use an Android smartphone/tablet and digital survey applications.
• Willingness to travel and stay in field locations for the required assignment period.
• Good communication skills, patience and ability to follow a structured questionnaire and field instructions accurately.

Preferred

• Experience using SurveyCTO, KoboToolbox, ODK or similar digital platforms.
• Experience in large-scale household surveys, baseline/midline/endline studies, tracer studies or impact evaluations.
• Experience working with rural, remote, climate-vulnerable or socially vulnerable populations.
• Previous satisfactory experience working with DM WATCH LIMITED.
